HTML Requirements

We want to ensure everyone sees your promotion.  Web pages sent via email are restricted compared to regular web pages.

• Many people read their email on their phone, which has far less display space than a PC.
• HTML email are displayed by an email software browser or via an email web site that doesn't support all the features of a typical browser.
• Our email marketing service places additional limitations to ensure optimal deliverability.

Clean standalone HTML suitable for email is required as follows.

• Do not use HTML generated from MS Word. 
• HTML generated from a web design product like Dreamweaver may be suitable provided it meets the other requirements below.
• You must host your own graphics.
• You must use absolute, not relative, image and link references.
• Do not use a CSS style sheet or tags.
• Do not use Javascript or any scripts.
• Do not use Bit.ly or other URL shorteners for links. 
• Do not use email, links, or pages from your own email marketing service. Use direct links where possible.
• Avoid complex tables.

If you submit HTML that isn't in full compliance, it may not display well, accurately, or at all in certain email software or sites on certain computers or devices.  We are not responsible for such problems.  

If you do not have the resources to do so, we can provide Web services to clean, edit, or even create HTML web pages for you at a rate of $100 per hour, minimum one hour.
